Can I use natural skincare products on pets?

A topic that's often overlooked but important for the overall health of our furry companions – can I use my skincare as pet skincare products. While we lavish attention on our own skincare routines, as pet owners it's easy to forget that our pets can also benefit from a little TLC. Is calendula oil safe on pets?

Even though calendula oil can be used on human skin, it begs the question of whether our pet‘s coat can be blessed to receive the same pampering.   Pet’s skin have the same skin issues as humans like oily skin and skin allergies so we need to work on helping them to.

Calendula provides the same soothing effects as it has on humans as on your furry friend.  Applying pure calendula oil on their skin either to heal skin problems such as a bite, scratch, mark, or to simply nourish their coat, leaving it with that pristine sheen that is so highly regarded by pet lovers alike. What type of calendula products can be used?

Several types of calendula products can be used in different ways:

• Calendula Oil: this can be dripped on which is handy if they wont sit still. It absorbs quickly and easily and can be reapplied often.
• Calendula Cream - richer in texture so takes longer to absorb; be sure to have only natural ingredients free of petroleum and preservatives.
• Ointment: thick and soothing, effective for bites or post-surgery, this takes the longest to absorb so useful for overnight as it won’t need to be applied as often. 

Using a product that you can trust and understand the process of means you know you can rely on it during those pesky emergencies. It’s clear that our furry buddies deserve good skin care too!
